”It’s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment.”
It was only a matter of time before the former half-term Alaska governor and serially starved for attention celebrity made my Idiot of the Day roll. Always a prime candidate for this honor by virtue of just opening her mouth she has now officially joined the “fringe crazies” of the TeaPublicans who, unable to beat President Obama at the polls, are trying once again to go down the rabbit hole with their newest Alice in Wonderland fantasy. Boggles the mind.
In response to Palin’s impeachment call, an absolutely ecstatic Democratic strategist wrote "I dare you to find me something crazier written by a major party's nominee for VP". Democrats are now hoping that every Republican in the country is asked to weigh in on this question: “how do you feel about voting to impeach the first black President of the US”? We all know Palin doesn’t read much but is she even aware that impeachment would require a 2/3 Senate majority vote? Probably not.
Realizing the danger of enraging and therefore motivating Democrats to vote in the mid-term November elections, Speaker John Boehner has been doing everything possible to muzzle his party’s wing-nut fringe. He even announced plans to sue the Obama administration over some as yet unidentified abuses of power. He went to great pains to explain his lawsuit is "not about impeachment". President Obama responded to all of this by simply saying “so, sue me”!
Maybe this whole thing is just a big misunderstanding. It could be that Sarah Palin just doesn’t want anyone to finish their term in office as she so ably demonstrated by quitting her job as Alaska’s governor.
Or, it could be that she is thinking that the attention garnered just might catapult her into consideration as a host on The View – a job that she has expressed some interest in.
That idea should send shudders through the entire Republican Party establishment.
Thanks for visiting!
