Idiot Of The Day: At CPAC, Sean Hannity Says His "Fox X-Ray Vision" Can Spot Pregnancies – Very Creepy, Right?

I’m not making this up folks as no one would believe me. However, I do have video proof from the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) of serial idiot, liar and hater Fox News’ Sean Hannity saying some downright creepy things about the "young, good-looking crowd:" Here’s a sample of what he told them:

“I can look out in the crowd, I kinda have Fox X-ray vision, and I can see that some of you women, you don't even know it yet, but you're pregnant. It's not your fault. It's not his fault.”

I know it’s hard to believe even from this clown, so here’s the video proof:

Sean Hannity has “Fox X-Ray Vision” – he can see into women’s wombs

Words fail me.

Fox News Fans Insanely Wrong Views On Net Neutrality

For most conscious, non brain-dead users of the Internet, yesterday’s news that the FCC had not only upheld Net Neutrality rules but strengthened them as well was very welcome news. That’s probably because they had listened to both sides of the story and agreed with FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler when he said “the Internet is too important to allow broadband providers to make the rules”. As a result, the Internet in the USA will remain open for everyone to use just like it is now.

fox-truth

However, Fox News fans, who are constantly fed lies, propaganda and mystifying interpretations of any regulations designed to reign in big corporations, reacted in outrage and disbelief to the FCC’s ruling. Reading their comments on Facebook, I had no choice but to come to the conclusion that these people are simply “bats..t crazy”. Fox News has them completely bamboozled into thinking their freedom is being taken away when the FCC ruling is the complete opposite. They honestly seem to believe that Comcast, Verizon and AT&T are their friends and fellow freedom fighters!

Below, are just some of the comments left by readers on the Fox News Facebook page. I removed the names of the commenters because, well – these folks are plain crazy…but you can verify this by clicking the link to see for yourself:

  • Hey 51% of you morons voted for him twice. You get what you get. And for those of you who stayed home and didn't vote for Mitt....up yours !

  • There goes Internet freedom. First thing will be no Fox News web site.

  • So I guess our first amendment rights don't matter.

  • There goes the Internet as we know it.

  • Are we living in North Korea??? Wait.. we must not... they at least control their borders.

  • The Fall of Rome

  • Obama is trash

  • Time to cancel everything and go off the grid!

  • I didn't realize that something needed to be "fixed". Leave it to the government to step in a fix something that didn't need to be fixed.

  • Take freedom one bite at a time and the country watches in silence.

  • Losing our freedom right in front of our face.

  • 1984 - and not the calendar year

  • Just like China and North Korea.. this is how it starts..

  • To me Net Neutrality is the most misleading name since "affordable health care" and the "Patriot Act.

  • Next he is after the bullets. How is it that we are putting up with this? I don't care what this guy's religion is or where he was born, it is too late to care about that, but I truly care that he is single handedly destroying the Constitution of the United States and for that he should be removed from office.

  • This is ridiculous. It's the government, Obama and his minions, wanting to police the internet and what's posted.

  • Taking 1st amendment away from us all.

  • So, when are we going to change the name of our country...

  • Does Anyone Believe 4 Million Americans Told The FCC They Want The Internet Run By Gov't?

  • Thanks again to the uneducated voters who have laid out my children's and Grand Children's futures. Much appreciated.

  • This country is being systematically destroyed from within. Time for a revolution.

  • Venezuela did the same thing as they tightened down on their communist regime. Then when the GNB was arresting, raping, and killing student protesters, they blocked the Internet and social media accounts of dissidents who where uploading all the proof to Twitter and Facebook... And this was all last year, by the way.
Food for thought... How much free speech have we surrendered to this man? Smh...

  • I guess the next thing will be a fee to the IRS if we don't purchase Internet service?

  • if this doesnt worry or bother you than you are whats wrong with this country

  • The FCC just voted for government to sensor all content distributed onto the web. Prepare to be brainwashed with Liberal propaganda, and the word Freedom stripped from our vocabulary.

  • First they came for your earned income, then they came for your state's representation, then they came for your nest egg, then they came for your elders, then they came for your healthcare, then they came for your press,

  • This will end up being an attack on free speech, and to stop like minded people from assembling on a mass scale when our government turns against us. Lord bring us back to you. Prepare your people and let us hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. Blessed be the name of the Lord!!!

  • There go Fox News web site, religious web sites, etc

  • Sad day for the internet!!

  • No joke! Beginning of the New World Order. Bend over further! This country needs a revolution!

  • If it's bad in China what makes it good in America? People, people they are taking our freedom's away from us. They are chipping away at them a little at a time....Wake up America -

  • Welcome To The Communist States of America. Yep, Obama built this!

  • Heading for revolution!!! Government is out of control !! Ignoring the people and the Constitution.

  • He promised to fundamentally change America as we know it when he was elected. Wake up America we are no longer free.

  • are you DEMOCRATS out there HAPPY now idiots

  • Will this nightmare never end?

  • This isn't free America anymore. It's communist America

  • Welcome to censorship like we have never seen before. Smells like a rat to me!

  • Out of control. This administration needs to be stopped at all cost.

  • Communist. We are going to be no better than Russia and all them before people wake up.

  • abolish the FCC... problem solved!

  • We need a Obama neutrality law... More control ( over him) less bs ( from him)

  • Just another way Ohitler and the government can control your lives!
    Better wake up sheeple!!!

Sadly, I think, this is what the USA is up against as a country.

Net Neutrality Wins On 3-2 Vote – Internet Users Can Rejoice

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted Thursday to approve strong net neutrality rules defying vocal, months-long opposition by telecom and cable companies and Republicans on Capitol Hill. The new rules passed by a vote of 3-2 with the Commission’s 3 Democratic appointees voting yes. The Commission’s 2 Republican-appointed members both voted no. The net neutrality rules prevent Internet providers—including cellular carriers—from blocking or throttling traffic or giving priority to Web services in exchange for payment.

The Commission’s 3 Democrats voted yes. The 2 Republicans voted no net neutrality 1

Democratic Commissioners Jessica Rosenworcel and Mignon Clyburn joined Chairman Tom Wheeler to approve a rule that reclassifies consumer broadband as a utility under Title II of the Communications Act. Internet Service Providers (ISPs) — both landline and wireless — will now be subject to stringent oversight on how they handle data that flows over their networks. The regulation will prevent the companies that operate the Internet's infrastructure from striking deals to give preferential treatment to content providers. For example, these rules prevent Netflix from paying Comcast for better access to customers.

Well said – I couldn’t agree more!net neutrality

The vote also reclassifies broadband Internet under Title II of the Communications Act, meaning the companies will be now regulated in a manner similar to utilities like power. Companies that fall under this area will not be subject to certain parts of Title II regulation, such as price controls and forced sharing of infrastructure.

Under the Republican plan – your Internet service would look like this!net 3

Republican commissioner Ajit Pai attacked the vote calling the decision an "about-face" and stoked conservative fears by claiming "we are flip-flopping for one reason and one reason only: President Obama told us to do so." Those gathered in one FCC viewing room gasped and burst into laughter upon hearing Pai's remark. Barack Obama IS the President and he has a perfect right to speak out in favour of consumers. That’s what Presidents do. Get over it Republicans. Barack Obama was elected President not just once but twice.

What is net neutrality and how does it affect you?

New Adult Content Policy On Blogger Starts March 23, 2015

Yesterday, I happened to see a note from the Blogger team announcing that starting March 23, 2015, you won't be able to publicly share images and video that are sexually explicit or show graphic nudity on Blogger. My first reaction was to wonder how, if any, bloggers I regularly read would ever have to worry about that. I can’t think of any thank goodness.

According to Blogger, if your existing blog doesn’t have any sexually explicit or graphic nude images or video on it, you won’t notice any changes. However, if your blog does have sexually explicit or graphic nude images or video, your blog will be made private after March 23, 2015. No content will be deleted, but private content can only be seen by the owner or admins of the blog and the people who the owner has shared the blog with. That would be a shock to wake up to on March 24th!!

If your blog was created before March 23, 2015, and contains content that violates our new policy, you have a few options for changing your blog before the new policy starts:

If you’d rather take your blog down altogether, you can export your blog as a .xml file or archive your blog's text and images using Google Takeout.

Effect on new blogs

For any blogs created after March 23, 2015, we may remove the blog or take other action if it includes content that is sexually explicit or shows graphic nudity as explained in our content policy.

Genius Of The Day: Sen. Barbara Boxer Knocks It Out Of The Park On GOP Hypocrisy, Hatred And Irresponsibility

boxerSenator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) minced no words and took no prisoners on Tuesday about Republicans and their threat to shutdown the Department of Homeland Security:

"This is a self-inflicted crisis, made up by the Republicans. It is dangerous, it is the height of irresponsibility, and it's unnecessary.”

Following her speech and a 4th attempt by GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to pass a bill that tied DHS funding to President Obama’s immigration orders, McConnell finally ‘blinked’ and decided to separate DHS funding from the immigration dispute and will now put forward a ‘clean’ bill on DHS funding.

That likely won’t be the end of this battle, however, as the crazies in GOP house would rather shutdown the DHS than give in to President Obama. And the cowardly House Speaker, John Boehner, is more interested in keeping his own job than doing the right thing for keeping Americans safe.

GOP Senate agrees to fund DHS but Boehner’s pals can’t agree on anything150225_john_boehner_mitch_mcconnell_gty_1160x629

No one has stated the argument better than Sen. Boxer, so here are a few excerpts from her excellent speech in the Senate on February 24, 2015:

We all know Republicans won in huge numbers in the 2014 election, and they took over the United States Senate and they run it. They run it. Or at least they're trying to run it. And let's be clear, less than eight weeks after they took over the Senate, we are facing a shutdown; a shutdown of the very agency that protects the health, the safety, the lives, of the American people - the Department of Homeland Security.

They're shutting down the program that funds our police officers back home, our firefighters, our first responders. Any way you look at it, this is a national disgrace. And think about what our friends abroad, and those who are not our friends, are thinking about this.

Republicans say, 'Oh, we're in danger, we have to go to go to war, put combat troops on the ground!' But they're wiling to shut down the department that protects Americans here in the homeland, from a terrorist attack.

How does it make sense, at a time when we're facing serious threats to our national security, to furlough 30,000, thirty thousand, department of homeland security workers, and to force more than 100,000 frontline homeland security personnel to work without pay?

"I thought they were the party of 'family values.' Show me where that's true? Ripping families apart? I thought they were the party of 'economic prosperity.' Show me how that's true, when we know from study after study show that one of the greatest things we can do for our economy and job creation is get people out of the shadows so they can go buy a home and hold a good job. They (Republicans) can't or won't pass an immigration bill. They will not do their job. So when the president steps in and does his job, they say, 'Oh, this is terrible! Let's shutdown a totally unrelated department. The Department of Homeland Security.

And here's the deal - I've never heard of a Republican (and I will stand corrected if any Republican corrects me) I've never heard of a Republican complaining when President Eisenhower used his executive order power to help immigrants, when President Nixon did the same thing to protect immigrants, when President Ronald Reagan, their hero, protected immigrants, when George Bush Sr. protected immigrants, when George W. protected immigrants, they all used their authority.

Show me one Republican that stood up and said, 'Oh this is outrageous! Let's impeach the president. But it's president Obama. And they're annoyed because he won twice. Sorry. Sorry. Wake up and smell the roses. He IS the President.

How does it make sense? Because you're too incompetent to hold a vote on your immigration plan? You want to kick people out of the country? …..Don't hide behind the Homeland Security Bill, holding the President's work hostage. You never did it to the other presidents.

Our national security is at stake, our family values are at stake. And our economy is at stake here. So get over the fact that you don't like the president. We get it. You couldn't beat him. Too bad for you. But you're in charge here, in the Senate. Do your job! Bring an immigration bill to the floor. Let's let this Homeland Security Bill go. It's a bipartisan bill. It's funding for the most important thing we're doing today. Let it go. Don't hold it hostage to your hatred of this president, and I use that word because that's what I think. That's what I think….

So I say to my Republican friends. There's s presidential race coming. Forget this last one. Get over it. Okay? Let's work together. Listen, I served with five presidents. I'm a strong Democrat. Everyone will tell you that. But I respect the office of the presidency. If I didn't agree with Ronald Reagan, I came down here and said it. But we had the respect back and forth. If we lost, we lost. And we moved on. And that worked both ways.

I know what it is not to like the policies of a president. I get it. But don't overdue it and make it so personal. Get on with it. Grow up. Do your job, you know? Do your job! Have respect for the office of the presidency. Don't suddenly say executive orders are bad when the president you don't like does it, but you don't say one word when a Republican president does the same thing!

Amen, and thanks for visiting!

Mason’s New Fireman Boots & Excellent Fire Hall Adventure

At some point in the life of every little boy, it seems they dream of one day being a fireman. At only 20 month of age our little man, Mason, is getting off to a head start on that dream – with the help of his Mom for sure!!

Mason’s new fireman boots will keep his feet dry in rain puddlesmd021915

There’s only one way to get a real good look at my new fireman bootsmd0219151

Mason sure seems to like his new fireman boots. Carrie sent us some photos and video clips of our little man proudly walking around their condo with his new boots on. It’s his first pair of big boots and I’m sure he’ll be putting them to good use in the spring rains in Victoria.

I’d love to take this big fire engine for a spin!md022115

On Saturday morning, Carrie took Mason over to the local fire station where the friendly firefighters were only too happy to show Mason around and begin the training of their new “recruit”.

I think I’ve got the hang of this now!md0221151

Mason was all smiles as he got to sit in the driver’s seat and take the wheel of a big fire engine.

Idiot Of The Day: Rudy Giuliani’s Getting No Love

This week, failed former GOP presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani slithered out of the fever swamps, where the likes of Sarah Palin and Bozo the Trump roam, to make the following odious remarks to a group of wealthy Republican’s at a private dinner:

“I do not believe — and I know this is a horrible thing to say — but I do not believe that the president loves America.”

Having emerged from the mucky ooze and still dripping with rage and resentment the former mayor of NYC continued:

“He doesn’t love you. And he doesn’t love me. He wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up”

That would be the cross-dressing Rudy Giuliani on the rightrudy

While both statements are equally appalling, it’s the second one about how President Obama “wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up” that shines a bright light on Giuliani’s true thinking. It’s a familiar racist dog whistle, the suggestion of “otherness” inferring that African Americans are just “different” from their white counterparts. What can be said about this Giuliani explanation that “I’m not a racist because President Obama’s mother was white” other than it’s astoundingly tone-deaf.

Rudy, Rudy, Rudy…..he’s gone off his meds for sure!390-rudy-0220

Errol Louis at CNN isn’t surprised by Giuliani’s accusations. “Giuliani's favorite political math equation is long division: Separate the public into "us" and "them" (e.g., "He doesn't love you. And he doesn't love me") and then pose as champion of half the people,” Louis wrote. “And if there are racial overtones to the divisiveness, so be it.”

Giuliani creates huge problem for Republican 2016 Presidential candidates021815_mayor

One fact is for certain in all of this and it’s provable, unlike Giuliani’s opinions, and it’s that America loves President Obama a lot more than they ever loved Rudy Giuliani. Barack Obama has twice been elected President of the United States by a substantial majority of voters who are not fools. Does any American citizen truly feel that a majority of voters would twice elect a candidate who did not love his country? Rudy Giuliani didn’t even make it out of the batter’s box when he ran for President in 2008. He whines now that President Obama “doesn’t love me” – well American voters didn’t love you either, Rudy!

The President doesn’t love me – wah! wah! wah!RUDY-GIULIANI-facebook

How much does Rudy love America? In an article for the New York Daily News criticising Giuliani’s remarks Wayne Barrett, a Giuliani biographer made some interesting points:

  • Rudy may have forgotten the half-dozen deferments he won ducking the Vietnam War, even getting the federal judge he was clerking for to write a letter creating a special exemption for him.
  • And remember Bernie Kerik? He's the Giuliani police commissioner, business partner and sidekick whose nomination as homeland security secretary narrowly preceded indictments. He then did his national service in prison.
  • Though Rudy cited his father Harold throughout his public life as his model (without revealing any of his history), he and five Rudy uncles found ways to avoid service in World War II.

On the other hand, President Obama's grandfather and uncle served overseas in the US Army during WWII and his grandmother worked in an armaments factory.

Who needs love from Rudy? ObamaTroopsAndCameras0409

And what does Rudy Giuliani know about love? Again, here’s his biographer Wayne Barrett to explain:

  • Ask Regina Peruggi, the second cousin he grew up with and married, who was "offended" when Rudy later engineered an annulment from the priest who was his best man on the grounds, strangely enough, that she was his cousin.
  • Or ask Donna Hanover, the mother of his two children, who found out he wanted a separation when he left Gracie Mansion one morning and announced it at a televised press conference.
  • Or ask Judi Nathan, his third wife, whom he started dating while still married to Hanover and was still New York mayor.

President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and their daughters, Sasha and Malia, sit for a family portrait in the Oval Office, Dec. 11, 2011. (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)

This official White House photograph is being made available only for publication by news organizations and/or for personal use printing by the subject(s) of the photograph. The photograph may not be manipulated in any way and may not be used in commercial or political materials, advertisements, emails, products, promotions that in any way suggests approval or endorsement of the President, the First Family, or the White House.

I guess Giuliani is correct in saying about President Obama that “he wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up” – but, that’s probably a good thing. President Barack Obama is happily married with a wonderful family. Who would you want to be the model father for your sons and daughters?

Mason’s Special Valentines Day With His Mom

Based on the photos and video clips Carrie sent us, Mason and her had an absolutely wonderful Valentine’s Day together. They even capped it off with a candlelight dinner at home and our little man got all dressed up for the special occasion….he was looking pretty cool in his dress shirt and tie!

Fun at the beach

To start Valentine’s day off Carrie and Mason went to the beach. It wasn’t as warm in Victoria as here in Palm Springs but it looked like a pretty nice day nevertheless. It was warm enough for Mason to play on the beach wearing just a sweater and no heavy jacket. Try that in eastern Canada in the middle of February!!

Thanks for bringing me to the beach, Mom. I love you!md0214151

Another Up-Close Look At Air Force One In Palm Springs

The Secret Service fooled me and a lot of other people in Palm Springs Saturday morning as President Barack Obama and Air Force One cruised in for a landing here at 9:30am which was a full 2 hours ahead of the announced schedule. I’m thinking they must have read my blog last night and figured to foil my plan. Right?? Or maybe the President got an earlier tee time? Anyway, I did find the clip below on YouTube of the big 747 landing so here it is:

Air Force One landing and President Obama disembarking

Even though I missed the actual landing, as your intrepid blog reporter I didn’t let that stop me from heading over to the airport to get some photos as I suspected I knew exactly where Air Force One was going to be parked and how I could walk right up to it just like I did last year!! Sure enough, even though Kirk Douglas Way, the main road into the airport was barricaded, I parked my truck and walked across a bit of desert before bypassing the barricades and walking along Kirk Douglas Way all the way to where AF1 was parked for the weekend.

I was able to snap the following photos from about 100 yds. of Air Force OneIMG_3887

IMG_3882

IMG_3892-001

IMG_3897

Hey, you! Get off my tarmac!! What the heck are you doing here? Out!!!!IMG_3903

Things were going amazingly well until I walked up to an open gate in front of where Air Force One was parked. Just as I was about to sneak in for an even closer look a female security guard walked up. I thought what the heck and asked “any chance of getting in for a tour of Air Force One?” Her answer: NONE! ,,,,,and with that she pointed in the direction I should go immediately. OK, then!

Kirk Douglas Way was closed off and deserted (except for yours truly)!IMG_3911

It sure takes a lot of vehicles to move a US President around

At the airport, I took a few more photos of aircraft take-offs and landingsIMG_3912IMG_3918IMG_3928

President Obama Returns To Palm Springs This Saturday Aboard Air Force One And I’ll Be There To Record It

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle will be arriving in Palm Springs early this afternoon aboard Air Force One. That makes it exactly one year to the day that I got my first look at Air Force One as it came in for a landing at 7pm with the President aboard. Here’s what I captured in a night-time video clip:

President Obama lands aboard Air Force One on Feb. 14, 2014

Here’s how I described the experience in my blog that night:

“I did it! I actually was able to get a video clip of Air Force One landing in Palm Springs even though it was completely dark out. It sure was exciting to see that beautiful 747 as it approached and touched down with nary a bump! That was my first live look at Air Force One and it was quite a thrill.”

I managed to get pretty up close and personal with Air Force One last yearIMG_0613[3]

To the utter amazement of many friends here at the Sands RV Resort and readers in blogland as well, I was able to walk along a closed road to within about 100 yards from Air Force One as it sat in an area not too far south of the main terminal. No one ever approached me to ask what I was doing so I just kept snapping photos.

Will I get this close this weekend? I’m going to try!IMG_0620[3]

All roads into and out of the Palm Springs Airport with the exception of one were closed to the public as of 1pm Friday afternoon. They will remain closed until late Monday after the President and Mrs. Obama have left for Washington, DC. I think I’ll try the same routine that worked for me last year to see if I can once again get up close and personal with Air Force One. If you don’t hear from me, it might be that I’m being “held for questioning” somewhere. We’ll see!

‘Fox News North’ TV Network Shuts Down In Canada

Canadian TV viewers spoke loud and clear to the Sun News Network, dubbed Fox News North: “Bon Voyage, get outta here…nobody in Canada wants to watch your extreme right-wing faux news”. Accordingly, at 5am ET Friday the Sun News Network went off the air after failing to find a new owner. There was no fanfare and no on-air announcement. After 4 years of dismal ratings ( 0.1 percent of Canadian viewers) the screen finally went dark and was replaced by the Sun TV logo.

Fox News North Shuts Down after 4 years of horrible ratingsfox news north

Fox News North struggled from the outset and never managed to pay its way simply because there weren’t enough wing-nuts, nutbars and wackos to watch it. Canadians have grown up with solid, honest reporting from not only the CBC but from CTV as well. Also, Canadian businesses ignored it and refused to force it on an unwilling public by making it the designated channel in bars, waiting rooms and hotels like they do for Fox News in the USA.

Off-the-Air announcementsun_news_tv_20150213 (1)

Fox News North’s fate was probably set back in 2009 when Canada’s conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper unsuccessfully tried to have the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) overturn a law prohibiting lying on broadcast news. Yes, Faux News aficionados, Canadian law does require that "a licenser may not broadcast ... any false or misleading news." The provision has kept right-wing talk radio out of Canada.

fox

When Sun News launched in 2011, its cronies attacked what they described as the "smug, condescending, irrelevant" journalism of existing Canadian outlets like the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Instead, they began to broadcast shows like The Source which was a thinly disguised clone of Bill O’Reilly’s The Factor on Fox. Ezra Levant, host of The Source, and the new face of the network soon ran into legal troubles with respect to “truthiness”.

The Source’s Ezra Levant was found guilty of libel and ordered to pay $80,000"The Source with Ezra Levant" program is show on a television in Toronto on Thursday Feb. 12, 2015. The Sun News Network is shutting down Friday morning after negotiations to sell the troubled television network were unsuccessful. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Doug Ives

Levant was sued for libel by a lawyer in Saskatchewan. Justice Wendy Matheson, an Ontario judge who heard the defamation lawsuit, ruled that he was guilty of libel and found that he demonstrated a "reckless disregard for the truth."

2015 Annual Quilt Show At The Sands RV Resort

Yesterday was the big day for all the Sands Clubhouse Quilters to display the quilts they’ve been working on all winter. It’s an event, held in the North Hall, that attracts a lot of residents who love to look at the beautiful quilts and ask questions about how they were made and the process of actually making a quilt. The show was open to the public from 10am to 2pm and yesterday’s quilt show attracted a lot of visitors.

All the quilts were beautiful to me and I know just how much work and passion goes into making one. I’ve said many times before and I believe it to be a fact….quilting is not a hobby…..it’s an obsession and it’s incurable.

As well as on tables, quilts were hung along the center of the aisleIMG_3854

The quilt below is a “work in progress” by PauletteIMG_3879

If you’d like to see more quilts from the 2015 Sands Quilt Show, Paulette has posted many more photos than I have on her blog Sweet P Quilting and Creations.

America Is Losing Its Best Nightly News Anchor

No doubt about it – he will be missed greatly by all of us who value truth, comedy, irreverence, intelligence and a brilliant mind. No, I’m not talking about Brian Williams but rather the best nightly news anchor on TV….Jon Stewart.

Happy Hour At Caliente Spa And A Smiling Mason

We were invited to a Happy Hour late Monday afternoon at the Caliente Spa RV Resort by Rene and Jeanette who arrived in Desert Hot Springs just last week. It was great to meet up with this friendly and generous couple again. They’ve been amongst our longest friends since we began RV’ing. Another RV blogging couple were also invited - Croft and Norma as they are staying just down the road from both the Caliente and Sands RV Resorts. Needless to say…it was a a lot of fun.

Hector and Diane, good friends of Rene and Jeanette, who happen to live just an hour or so north of us on Vancouver Island are also staying at the Caliente Spa and joined us for over 3 1/2 hours of laughs, great conversation and wonderful appetizers. It was a beautiful afternoon and evening to sit outside as the temperature was well into the 70’s even after darkness fell. Poor Hector and Diane aren’t bloggers so they had to listen to a lot of our favourite blogger stories.

Thanks again for a wonderful evening – Paulette and I had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. We were both glad to hear you’ll be in Palm Springs until late March, like us, so we’ll “see you all over at our place” soon!

Carrie sent us a great photo of Mason in a shopping cart yesterday. Our little man is sure getting around – one day he’s riding in a train and the next day driving a shopping cart. No matter what he’s always got that million dollar smile on his face!
